Terms of Service.

Last updated: 24 October 2026. The agreement between you and Coastar LNC, Inc. when you use the platform, request a quote, or send email through our infrastructure. Transactional email only — we are strict on bad and unsolicited email.

1. Acceptance

By using coastarlnc.com (the "site") or the Coastar LNC platform operated by Coastar LNC, Inc. ("we", "us", "our"), or by requesting a quote or sending email through our infrastructure, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or the platform.

2. Services

We provide transactional email infrastructure, AI-assisted deliverability tooling, and related analytics to businesses and developers. The scope of each plan or engagement is defined in a written quote, order form, or plan description on the site. We do not provide marketing, promotional, newsletter, or bulk email services. Sending is limited to transactional and operational email triggered by your own application events or by authenticated recipient actions.

3. Transactional email only — strict on bad and unsolicited email

Coastar LNC is a transactional email platform. Every email sent through our infrastructure must be triggered by an authenticated user action or an internal application event. Marketing, promotional, newsletter, bulk, and unsolicited email are prohibited on the platform.

We are strict on bad and unsolicited email. We do not permit purchased, rented, scraped, harvested, or unknown-source email address lists. Recipients must have a direct, existing relationship with the sender — they signed up, made a purchase, took an action that generated the email, or are otherwise engaged with your product. Accounts found to be sending to purchased lists, ignoring suppression, or sending unsolicited email will be suspended immediately.

4. Account and API access

You are responsible for the security of your account, API keys, and sending domains. You agree to:

  • Keep your API credentials confidential and rotate them if compromised.
  • Configure SPF, DKIM, and DMARC on every sending domain before production sending.
  • Use the API only for sending you are authorized to send.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

We may suspend an account that we reasonably believe is being used in violation of these terms or our acceptable-use policy.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Coastar LNC to send email that is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, harassing, or that violates any applicable anti-spam law (including the CAN-SPAM Act, CASL, and GDPR where applicable). You may not send to purchased, rented, or scraped email lists. You may not use the platform to send marketing, promotional, newsletter, or bulk email. We may suspend or terminate any account that we determine, in our sole discretion, is being used for prohibited sending.

6. Pricing and payment

Pricing is published on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time. Plans are billed monthly in advance. Invoices are due on receipt unless otherwise agreed in writing. Invoices not paid within 15 days may accrue a late fee of 1.5% per month (18% APR). We may suspend an account with an unpaid balance after 30 days of non-payment.

7. Service levels

Paid plans include a 99.99% uptime SLA for the sending API, measured monthly, excluding scheduled maintenance announced in advance on our status page. Our deliverability targets — bounce rate ≤ 0.18%, complaint rate ≤ 0.02%, delivery rate ≥ 99.8% — are described on our deliverability page and are best-effort targets, not contractual guarantees. The platform's performance depends on your sending behavior, list quality, and domain configuration.

8. Data processing

You retain ownership of the content you send and the recipient data you transmit through the platform. You grant us a limited license to transmit, route, and store that content solely for the purpose of providing the service. We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We act as a data processor for the recipient data you send, and you are the data controller.

9. Suppression and compliance

We maintain suppression lists per customer account and per sending domain. You cannot override a suppression for a recipient who has permanently bounced or complained. We may require you to implement unsubscribe handling where applicable, and we may suspend sending if your bounce or complaint rates exceed industry thresholds.

10. Third-party services

The platform relies on third-party infrastructure providers for sending, authentication, and reputation management. Those providers' availability and policies affect our service. We may also use third-party analytics providers described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers beyond our reasonable control.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost business, or third-party claims.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any third-party claim arising out of your breach of these terms, your violation of any anti-spam law, your use of prohibited sending practices, or your infringement of third-party rights.

13. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these terms, non-payment, or prohibited sending. On termination, your access to the platform will cease, and we will delete your data in accordance with our retention policy in the Privacy Policy, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.

14. Transactional email to our own customers

We send email only for legitimate transactional and operational purposes related to your account — onboarding confirmations, billing notices, deliverability alerts, and support replies. We do not send marketing, promotional, newsletter, or bulk email to our own customers, and we do not rent, scrape, or buy third-party email lists.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the platform shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will be announced on the home page. Continued use of the platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
